Hades was also the god of hidden wealth of the earth. Hades is mostly known for being the god of the underworld. The god of death and the dead.
When mortals begged him, they struck the earth with their hands and they sacrificed black male and female sheep. The person sacrificing turned their face away.
Hades had three older sisters. (Hestia- goddess of hearth , Demeter- goddess of earth, and Hera- goddess of marriage and queen of gods) He had two younger brothers. (Zeus- god of sky and Poseidon- god of sea)
After being released from Cronus, six younger gods challenged their parents. Hades had helmet of invisibility, Zeus the thunderbolt and Poseidon the trident. (a gift from the cyclops) There was a war when Hades went the night before and destroyed Titan's weapons. War lasted for 10 years and the younger gods won. Zeus got earth and sky to rule. Poseidon got seas. Hades got the underworld. ( Unseen realm to which the dead go upon living in this world)
Hades has demonic helpers, Thanatos, Hypnos, the ferryman charon and three headed hound Cerebus.
The Underworld was a gloomy realm of wailing ghosts, howling furies, shrieking bats, lost and evil souls. Hades rarely left the underworld and nobody was allowed to leave.
Hades isn't the lord of death. He is there to rule the underworld. There were nice parts of the underworld like Elysian Fields. (Heroes went here after they died) The parts that weren't nice were for the souls that weren't so nice during their lifetime.
Not many other gods have gone to the underworld. Only a few gods have gone there and returned to the land of the living.
The cypress and narcissus are plants that are scared to Hades. The cypress' bark was used to make coffins. The narcissus'
The pomegranate was Hades fruit of the underworld because it helped him trap Persephone in the underworld.
I used black text because the Underworld is a dark place. I used the red looking glitter text because it represents the blood of the people who have died. I used the music i made because its mysterious and dark like Hades and the Underworld.
